Pioneer Car Audio presents the 6th Annual Joe’s Minibike Reunion to be held on Saturday, October 14th from 8AM to 3PM at CV Park in beautiful La Crescenta, CA. Don’t Break Up With Your Car; Upgrade It with Pioneer Car Audio!

Highlights for this year’s event will culminate with the induction of the Franquez Brothers, Frank and Brian (SOLO) of the famed minibike company F&B Racing into this year’s class of the prestigious Joe’s Minibike Reunion Hall of Fame! Frank and Brian are OG’s on the west coast minibike scene and build some of the best-engineered, esthetically pleasing, fast as #*!! Minibikes in the world and have killed it with their line of minibike exhaust kits and other performance parts for over a decade. Known nationally from their appearances on Joe’s Minibike Reunion Podcast and their successful business F&B Racing, I am truly a lucky guy to have had the chance to meet and become friends and partners with these amazing two men! Brian could be a stand up comedian if he wanted to anytime and Frank is the nicest, most genuine guy I have ever met. They have a deep devotion to their deceased father, which inspires much of what they do. We are proud to have both Frank and Brian Franquez as great inductees into this year’s class!

Go Karts USA has provided one of their American Flyer 215 Minibike Frame Kits, which Evil Ed and Elana of ROADKILL assembled on the recent Joe’s Minibike Reunion Podcast (S2Ep5) Ed and I love the larger frame size, that smart 5-degree engine mount, the larger 8” wheels and mini-ape hi-rise bars! GKUSA offers a slew of other cool minibikes, race karts, buggies, pit bikes, ATV, UTV 4WD, parts, accessories and more. A major sponsor of Joe’s Minibike Reunion Podcast, we thank Al and “The Family Man” Emran for supporting our passion and promotions with this amazing mini bike hobby we all are a part of.

I have been able to extend the event an additional (1) one hour, which will be helpful for the judges and give all of us a chance to catch up with fellow minibike nuts and friends in attendance. With the increase in visitors from across the US, although it doesn’t sound like a lot of extra time, it’s a nice benefit to all the Participants and Attendee’s as they exchange contact info, close that last minute buy at the swap meet or get the chance to return back to the event realizing that they LEFT THEIR MINIBIKE at the Show (true story.)

Jake Moe, builder of some of the most amazing minibikes in the land including the iconic “Frankenstein” the world’s most popular minibike has accepted the role as Head Judge starting with this years REUNION. Moe and his hand picked staff of judges which will include Evil Ed and specialists from both the Honda (CT, Z50, RUCKUS and GROM) as well as the other platforms representing the mini moto segments from Kawasaki, Suzuki, Benelli and others. This year’s judging will happen immediately upon entry as paid Participants will roll their bikes onto a ramp before the judging team and will be able to then simply find a spot at the REUNION and have fun! Winners’ will be notified prior to the Awards Ceremony and will be introduced along with their winning entrees’ in front of the adoring audience in attendance!

I hear more and more about the DYNO so I am pleased to have L&G DYNO back to handle our growing group of Participants with high horsepower engine and drive train. Participants are encouraged to pre register to ensure a spot on the dyno. On-site Participant Registrants are eligible for the DYNO on a 1st come, 1st served basis. There will be a sign in sheet at the DYNO.12087274_1113929398619303_4654839639792820813_o

Over the year’s we have been proud to have a large group of giving and generous sponsors that support JMBR. GokartsUSA will be again supplying the Participant Give Away Minibike rolling Kit and other goodies!

Campbell Automotive will continue to provide $5 off coupons for those who check out their shop here in neighboring Montrose CA. Honda of Glendale will hook up us with some life saving helmets and other cool Honda goodies as they always have. Honda of Glendale and Campbell Automotive have been supporting me since the beginning of JMBR and I want to take this opportunity to send them both a special thank you!

CRC Industries, makers of Brakleen, “The Official Brake Parts Cleaner of ROADKILL” will be sending a pallet of lubricants, cleaners other products that any minibiker should have in their garage! Toyo Tires, Mother’s Polish, F&B Racing, SMALL ENGINE CAMS,, ROADKILL and other supporters will be providing products for both lucky drawing winners and spectators too! Returning JMBR staff vets will be on site to help you at Registration and during the event. Mike Robleto, Brian Paik, and AJ Russo return to handle the front end of the event, at Registration. Boom Boom, Nikole, Dave, Gail and Jerry will be handling the JMBR Souvenir trailer and we will have a variety of JMBR insiders including Fernando Guzman and sons, Scott Timberlake, Cousin Eddie and Teri and a few other “friends of ours.” I will be around too!

Best bets are in Burbank, CA off the 5 freeways near the airport. There are also hotels in close by Pasadena and or Glendale CA too. La Crescenta is a small community with one local Motel, which is very limited room wise. Email us or send us a note on FB if you need any help or direction on housing.

For the record. I started the JMBR Podcast over a year ago to give me a voice to promote our hobby and build excitement leading up to the event.
12957636_10154044455157154_1570527369233037817_oThe reception has been well over my expectations with some video’s reaching over 100,000 views! Evil Ed continues to be there for me as the co-host, builder and supporter with whatever comes our way. Our guests have been awesome and the podcast continues to grow and improve despite the fact that we film out of a garage and we really don’t have a lot of podcast experience. Thanks for the support and patience and I want to say thank you to our JMBR Podcast supporters including Pioneer Car Audio, CRC Industries, Gokartsusa, Small Engine Cams, and Motor Media Inc. Our producer E at D1 Productions has done a great job launching the podcast and is our ace when it comes to production and digital support. We will increase the podcast frequency to 2 x’s per month starting in August leading up the event in October. We have given away a ton of cool prizes highlighted by the Small Engine Cam give away for viewers and listeners who send in questions for the guests.

We have been in conversations with other parties about the launch of the new Joe’s Minibike Reunion YouTube Show starting in 2017. The show will feature me and Evil Ed as we go out and about in the minibike scene buying and building bikes, visiting with the top minibike movers, shakers and builders across the land and dropping in on some of our hobbies biggest minibike collectors and historians. Think American Pickers meets Orange County Choppers meets ROADKILL! Along the way we will have some of our other JMBR family join in on the show including Jake Moe, Myron Bailey, Dee Rivas and Eian Cordova from CB Minis to name a few!

The Brad Elze People’s Choice Award will again celebrate the bike that most notably reigns supreme at JMBR! Brad, a local minibike enthusiast and former JMBR award winner tragically lost his life on a motorcycle accident. We continue to remember what a great father, husband, man and friend he was!

I just wanted to take this moment to offer a sincere thank you to all of our JMBR Fans for the overwhelming support and participation over these first six (6) years. It is due largely to you that we have been able to create a nationally known event, the 1st ever podcast dedicated solely to minibikes, a social media network that reaches ten’s of thousands of fans across the globe, yet most importantly the chance for everyone to meet someone new, learn something new, and maybe see something new along the way. I am trying my best to feed this machine in the hopes that one day, we can see this cool hobby of ours get the limelight and focus we all know it deserves. Please always wear a helmet and protective gear and don’t forget…dress for the slide, not the ride!
